After a long time of having a buggy and unreliable PM system. We can tell you now that we enrolled an improved and fixed PM system.

The first thing you will notice is that we added a new indication to see if you have a new message. Another great feature we added is the following system. This will allow you to send a PM to more than just 1 user. But this also gives you the ability to unfollow a PM thread at any time. Remember when the last user unfollows the PM thread will be deleted.

You will also notice inside the PM thread that we added a button to change the title of your PM thread. And there is also a button to add more followers. And another thing you will notice is that the PM thread is much cleaner and more beautiful. Also if the following events occur you will have a nice message in the thread:

• The title is changed
• If a follower is added
• Someone leaves the thread

In short a lot of new features for a better PM system.

After a lot of development we finally have a WYSIWYG editor on GigaForum.

So no more learning weird UBB codes and finally a simple click and go work. Well if you want you can still use UBB but that is for now a click away. The WYSIWYG editor is build using the latest web techniques so if you have an older browser than please update it. Also Internet Explorer might have a problem with the WYSIWYG editor if so than you can still use the old UBB code editor.

Other news

• Together with the WYSIWYG editor comes the release of a new UBB code [twitch] or just click on the twitch icon in the WYSIWYG editor to add a Twitch stream inside your post.
• The Facebook UBB code and TopicType have been fully removed because of some changes from Facebook.

So start experimenting on the new WYSIWYG editor have fun.

A long time ago I added TopicTypes to GigaForum. This was added so a topic could represent more than just text. Today we added some more types like the Twitch topic type and the Soundcloud topic type. So know you can choose between:

• Facebook Video topic type
• Flickr Image topic type
• Google Maps topic type
• Image topic type
• Poll topic type
• Scribd topic type
• SoundCloud topic type
• Twitch topic type
• Vimeo Video topic type
• Youtube Video topic type

So start using the topic types today and have fun on GigaForum.

After some work we introduce colors on GigaForum.
You can use this by typing [color=mycolor]My text[/color] on GigaForum.

Hello everyone I’m Jurjen (Juje007 on GigaForum) the project manager of GigaDev a small group of coders who like to code stuff for the web. After thinking and more thinking we finally decided to create a blog. This because we wanted to share information and other cool stuff with you. So the idea is that this blog is going to give information about the projects we create (E.g. GigaForum) this means new big things that will launch on those projects and other things will be shown here. So expect a lot more to come in the future.

Soon there will be a post about the history of GigaDev and how it all started.
